Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles into various areas of the body to trigger a therapeutic response. It can be used in a wide range of conditions from external issues such as sporting injuries and chronic pain to more internal conditions including stress, fatigue, digestive issues and sleep difficulties.
The use of multiple herbs in a formula synergistically work together to help manage a range of health problems. At Village Remedies, we harness the ancient wisdom and natural power of Chinese herbal medicine to promote health and well-being.
Dry needling is actually part of traditional acupuncture therapy and was traditionally known as “ashi” needling. For acupuncturists, this would be considered a form of “local acupuncture” where tender points are used in the affected area and is typically limited to the treatment of musculoskeletal pain or injury.
Motor point acupuncture is the stimulation of motor nerves of a targeted muscle with acupuncture (often combined with electrical stimulation) to help restore healthy function.
Electro acupuncture is the use of electrical stimulation into muscle or targeted tissue via acupuncture needles. This is obviously a modern development in acupuncture and may be useful when working with certain conditions
