In the first half of this year, Village Remedies supports local basketball and has sponsored several semi-professional basketball teams in the WNBL1 (Inner West Bulls). In particular, Brendan has been supporting the team’s many talented players with acupuncture treatment at training sessions and games.
Acupuncture before training sessions or games can be particularly effective for helping prevent injuries by improving range of motion and helping with muscle activation/stabilisation (in addition to managing any long standing injuries). Meanwhile, players were also supported off-court to help encourage active recovery and reduce stress levels or improve sleep often associated with competing at a professional level.
